In preparation for any sudden earthquake disasters, Pasay City North High School – Tramo joins the annual nationwide earthquake drill last June 29, 2017.

“During an earthquake, do the ‘duck, cover and hold’ procedure” Mr. Ronaldo P. Baysan, Assistant Incident Commander (AIC) and Focal person for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRMM) said as he leads the drill.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nunilon L. Moreno, school principal II, brought awareness to the students as he shared his experience during the strongest earthquake that had happened in the Philippines way back 1992.

As the warning rings, students, teachers and school staff immediately ducked, covered and held themselves. With the help of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) and Boy (BSP) and Girl Scouts (GSP), Mr. Baysan discussed the importance of conducting the drill, as well as the basic strategies that everyone may use before, during and after the earthquake.

According to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOCS) a 7.2 magnitude earthquake also known as the “Big One” may hit Metro Manila.
