Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) conducted once more an earthquake drill on July 22, 2016 to boost the culture of preparedness and alertness among the residents of Metro Manila to the “Big One,” a speculated 7.2 magnitude earthquake expecting to hit the whole and nearby places of Metro Manila since last 2015.
MMDA prepared life boats under the Guadalupe Bridge, fire props, and emergency ladders on certain areas in Manila.
Pasay City North High School (PCNHS) – Tramo Campus participated on the drill, began at 9:00 in the morning together with the metro-wide shake drill, to aware and prepare the students, teachers, and other school staffs for in case the earthquake disaster happens.
Mr. Nunilon Moreno, principal, led the drill and taught the students, with the help of Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers and Boy and Girl Scouts, to fall in line, go to their designated areas, and do the “Duck, Cover, and Hold.”
Pasay City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Corporation (PCDRRMC) recorded the time and the orderliness of the drill, and gave some advises to the students.
