Pasay City National High School reopens the school year with an orientation program last August 3-5, 2021 for the parents of the incoming Grade 7 and Grade 11 students of SY 2021-2022. Mrs. Grace B. Torres, OIC- School Principal, together with Dr. Marissa P. Reteracion, school guidance coordinator and the rest of the guidance teachers in both Junior and Senior High School gives updates and pointers to both parents and students in coping with the New Normal Setting.
Alternative modalities are offered in attending the orientation: face-to-face and online modality. In the online modality, parents are encouraged to join through a google meet session provided by the school; on the other hand, in the face-to-face, limited number of participants are invited. Moreover, the latter observe proper health protocols for safety purposes.
As Grade 7 and 11 students enter a new environment, proper guidance and advise are given to ease their anxieties, prepare and familiarize them with the school culture in a new normal setting. Since the onset of COVID 19, it has caused a widespread threat to the well-being of individuals.
In the orientation, school policies and regulations in the new normal setting are discussed to the parents of the Grade 7 and 11 students. School enrollment of students follows the said activity to prevent close contact between parents and school faculty. The activity concludes with a successful facilitation of informing parents and enrolling students for the new school year.
